Students in Year 13 who intend going to University should now have started their UCAS form. As well as an external deadline that has to be met, we have an essential school-based deadline that must be adhered to. All aspects of the form, including paying and sending to Mr Cook online, must be completed by Friday, November 15th. This will enable Mr Cook to check and advise any changes before he, as the co-ordinator, can send it to UCAS. Students must adhere to this deadline. Evidence has shown that the earlier the form is submitted, the sooner students will receive offers. If any students feel they are ready to complete sooner, they can now complete and pay and send to Mr Cook now. Students should have their personal statement checked by their Form Tutors for support in this vital area.
It is strongly advised that students in year 12 should also start researching to see what the requirements are for courses that interest them. This will give them a better focus as to what grades they need to study a particular course. It is also recommended that students visit any open days for potential Universities which can be found on the University website.
