These achievements are of particular note as they reflect the significant changes to GCSEs as part of the current educational reform in Wales.
Headteacher, Diane Gill said “I am incredibly proud of the achievements of our pupils today. Not only have they achieved some of the highest results under the new key performance indicators introduced last year, they have achieved their own personal targets. This has been possible through their hard work and commitment to their studies during their time at Cantonian and the support from their parents and carers. It has given me and my staff great pleasure to be able to celebrate these results with pupils today and to wish them the best of luck for their futures.
Finally, I would like to take the opportunity to thank our staff for their hard work and dedication which has enabled Cantonian High School to secure these excellent results”.
