Pupils at Cantonian High School Achieve Excellent Results
Pupils, parents and staff at Cantonian High School are celebrating excellent A level results today. 100% of pupils achieved their A levels with 64% achieving grade A* – C. Pupils who completed vocational qualifications also achieved excellent results with 100% achieving Distinction grades and 91% achieving A* – C grades in the Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate of the Welsh Baccalaureate.
Headteacher, Diane Gill said “I am incredibly proud of the achievements of all our pupils today. Once again they have displayed their commitment and resilience and have worked hard to ensure that they achieved the best grades they could, and today that hard work has paid off. I am delighted that our pupils have secured places at the university of their choice where they will continue their studies. This includes Jack Evans who has secured a place at Bristol University to study Veterinary Science and Eve Richards who will study Criminology at Gloucester University. Nearly all of our pupils secured their first choice and have decided to stay in Wales to continue their studies including Ryan Wall who will study Biomedical Sciences, Connor Davies who will study Criminology and Criminal Justice and James Thomas who will study Computer Science. Sabri Boubaker is going on to study Biomedical Science and Nathaniel Taylor has been accepted to study Mathematics. Congratulations also to Ethan Truslove who secured AAAD and has been accepted to undertake Officer training in the Royal Navy. I wish all our pupils the best of luck for the future as they progress to the next stage of their lives.
Finally, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all our parents for their ongoing support and to the staff for their hard work and dedication which has enabled Cantonian High School to secure these excellent results.
